Wing Mario over the Floating Islands is an area in B3313.

Description

The area, as its name implies, is made up of several floating islands suspended in the sky. Vines appear to be growing on several of them, some of which are long enough for the player to grab onto and climb. In the back of the level is one large island sporting a spire with a flag on top, surrounded by 3 smaller waterfall islands.

Origins

The area's layout appears to be an original creation partially inspired by Wing Mario Over the Rainbow.

The music is an off-key version of the official game's Slider theme.

Stars

This area has 1 star to collect:

• Collect all 8 red coins. Although the level could theoretically be completed without use of the Wing Cap due to the presence of cannons, it is most likely not possible, as without it the player has little way of traversing the islands and getting to the second cannon alone requires incredibly tight movements.
• (A2) Collect Silver Stars under the vines of some islands.

Trivia

• There is a vine hanging off the side of the starting island that the player can grab and climb on. Due to its presence close to the death barrier, climbing down the vine will cause the game to iris out and the player will lose a life in the process.
