Whomp's Kingdom is an area in B3313.
Description[]
The area is a large mountain with several small fortresses at the bottom, and a big one at the top. There is a lake on a lower level of the mountain. Enemies such as Piranha Plants, Goombas, Whomps, Bob-ombs, and Shy Guys inhabit the area, and a Koopa NPC stands near the top of the mountain.
Origins[]
The area's layout is inspired by the rom hack "Whomp's Castle" by Felegg. Some textures are taken from the B-Roll beta version of Super Mario 64. Additionally, the island with the Piranha Flowers on it appears to be based on the Bonus Planet in Throwback Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy 2.
The music is the "Main Theme" track from the vanilla game's OST.
Stars[]
This area has 3 stars to collect:
- Collect 8 red coins (8 tiny stars in earlier versions).
- Reach the top of the mountain.
- In v1.0 and later, when ACT I is activated, an island with five Piranha Plants will appear when the player enters the level after collecting 120 stars. Rainbow platforms warp to and from the island. Killing all five plants spawns a star.
- In v0.9, the island appears after the player has collected 30 stars.
Additionally, in versions prior to v0.9, the 100 coin star for Course 5 can be collected here.
