Water Land (Shoshinkai) is an area in B3313.
Description[]
The area is similar to the vanilla Dire, Dire Docks, although it is missing some key elements, such as the whirlpool, the jet stream and much of the surface geometry in the back area with the sub. Additionally, the tunnel connecting the front and back areas is full of mines which explode upon contact with the player.
Origins[]
The area is taken directly from the Shoshinkai beta version of Super Mario 64.
The music playing is a recreation of the "Dire, Dire Docks" theme heard in the beta footage.

This area has 2/3 stars to collect:
- Opening the chests in the front area in the right order rewards the player with a star.
- There is a star on top of Bowser's sub in the back area.
- (Unabandoned/Pre-v1.0.2) There is a star on top of a platform on the surface of the front area.

Trivia[]
- Opening the chests actually spawns two stars on top of each other, but their IDs match up.
- Upon entering the level for the first time, the player will be greeted by an empty text box. This is in reference to the fact that in the available footage of the beta version a text box pop up appears, but the footage cuts off before the text appears, thus the actual text that should be displayed is completely unknown and likely lost forever.
