Vanilla Upstairs is an area in B3313.
Description[]
The area is mostly unchanged from the vanilla Super Mario 64, besides the warps, and some E3 textures in place of final ones. The hole, that in the original game, would be a warp to Bowser in the Sky is covered with a grate and non-functional. In earlier versions, the grate was not there, and the player could enter the hole, but it warps nowhere.
In v0.9 and later versions of the hack, the player can use the Vanish Cap to cross the mirror in the mirror room to enter a mirrored version of the upstairs with unique warps.
Origins[]
The area is taken directly from vanilla Super Mario 64's upstairs floors area (Second and Third Floors), with some changes. The music is also taken from the original game.
In 0.9, some textures got changed with the intention of making the area look similar to the E3 build. The same case applied for Vanilla Lobby and Vanilla Basement in 1.0.
Stars[]
- (pre-v1.0) A star-granting Toad can be found standing in the same spot as the Toad in the vanilla game's 3rd floor after the player obtains enough stars.
- (v1.0+) Star-granting Toad was moved to Mirrored Upstairs. Still, the RHDC Star Tracker counts the star for this area, since it and Mirrored Upstairs are in the same Area ID internally.

Two-way[]
- Crescent Castle: Jump through the small painting of the sky with clouds to the left of the Wet-Dry World painting.
- Purple Upstairs: Jump through the painting of the night sky next to the stairway leading to the top floor.
- Mirrored Upstairs: Use the Vanish Cap in the mirror room to pass through the mirror and exit the door on the other side.
- (v1.0) Floor 4B: Go through the key door at the bottom of the spiral stairs.

- (pre v1.0) Plexal Lobby: Go through the key door at the bottom of the spiral stairs.
- Sinister Clockwork: Jump into the clock face.
- Clockwork Innards: Punch the bottom of the clock and jump into the pendulum.
- Snowman's Darkness: Enter the Snowman's Land painting.
- (>=v0.9) Grassy Snowy Summit/(v0.7) Tall, Tall Mountain: Enter the Tall, Tall Mountain Painting.
- Tiny-Huge Island (beta): Jump into either of the Tiny-Huge Island paintings. The large painting leads to the Small state and the small painting leads to the Large state.
- Wet-Dry World (beta): Jump into the Wet-Dry World painting.
- (v1.0) Tubular Lobby/(v0.9) Wing Cap by the Rainbow Highway: Jump into the Rainbow Ride hole.
- Fire Bubble 2: Jump into the Lethal Lava Land painting that replaces the Wing Mario over the Rainbow entrance.
