B3313 Wiki

Vanilla Courtyard is an area in B3313.

Description[]

The area is very reminiscent of Uncanny Courtyard, and the castle courtyard from the vanilla game, but all of the Boos inhabiting the courtyard have all disappeared for the exception of the Birdcage Boo. The area’s lighting, however is very much darker compared to the original courtyard. The labyrinth behind the wall from Uncanny Courtyard has also been removed, and strangely enough, most of the area's texturing comes from the beta, rather than vanilla. The monument in the fountain is missing.

Origins[]

Lost Demo's courtyard with various texture similarities to B3313's Vanilla Courtyard.

Lost Demo's courtyard with various texture similarities to B3313's Vanilla Courtyard.

The area is a combination of the beta courtyard seen in various prerelease footage of Super Mario 64 and the vanilla courtyard, acting as an in between state for the area. As such, it appears to be inspired by Emmy's now deleted "Lost Demo" video.

No music plays in this area. At nighttime, owl noises can be heard.
