Unsettling Maze is an area in B3313.
Description[]
This area is dark and completely silent, save for a constant, mechanical whirring sound. The maze is filled with warped paintings, such as distorted Bowsers, white-eyed Goombas, a Cool, Cool Mountain painting with a Mr. I in place of the left snowman's head, and a white-eyed Princess Peach. The maze is in disrepair, full of large cracks in the walls.
Mario/Luigi can pass through some of these cracks, and navigating one of them to the left of the door to Bowser's Domain leads him to an uncanny replica of a beta castle lobby with monochrome walls and most of the doors walled over. Through the doorway that would normally lead to the castle grounds, they can find the source of the whirring: a lone Toad, who harbors sinister intentions...
Origins[]
This area appears to be an original creation.
No music plays in official versions of the hack. In Unabandoned, the music playing is Diminished Faces by NewSupKaizo55.

Trivia[]
- Once the player passes through the doorway into the replica lobby, it becomes walled over, preventing them from returning. However, they can escape the lobby by exiting through the courtyard door, which returns them to the door to the Warped Internal Garden.
- Similarly, once the player passes through what would normally be the doorway to the castle grounds, it becomes walled over. The player can still escape the hallway leading to the Mutant Toad by Fast Traveling.
- Beneath the corridor leading to the Toad, there is an inaccessible pit lined with Bowser paintings, which can be seen by careful positioning of the camera. The placement of the pit suggests that the developers' original intention was to place a trapdoor in the corridor.
- In the Motos Factory demo, the player can access the pit by warping to Castle Grounds, area ID 6. Falling to the bottom of the pit warps the player to the Mutant Toad jumpscare and kills them, ejecting them through the Bob-omb Battlefield painting in the Vanilla Lobby. Trying to leave the painting room crashes the game since the Vanilla Lobby is not meant to be accessible in the demo.
- Once the player enters this area in the Motos Factory demo, it's impossible to escape without using Fast Travel, as the door in front of the Bowser painting leads to the door below the white-eyed Peach painting and vice-versa.
