Shifted Sand Land is an area in B3313.
Description[]
The player spawns in a maze surrounded by quicksand, similar to the vanilla Shifting Sand Land. A large pyramid, surrounded by some smaller ones, lies up ahead. There are several enemies inhabiting the area, such as Goombas, Bob-ombs, Chuckyas, Pokeys, and Fly Guys.
Origins[]
The layout of the area mostly appears to be an original creation with some elements taken from the vanilla Super Mario 64, including textures. The appearance of the trees comes from an unused sprite also found in the vanilla game's source code.
The music is the "Lethal Lava Land" track from the vanilla game's OST.
Stars[]
Currently, this area has 2 stars to collect:
- Collecting all 8 red coins rewards the player with a star.
- There is a star hidden inside one of the cork boxes acting as stairs for one of the pyramid's floors.
- (v0.2-v0.4) There is a star behind the pyramid.
- (v0.2-v0.4) There is a star at the back of the pyramid, on the 2nd layer.
- (v0.2-v0.4.8) There is a star on the top of the pyramid.
Additionally, the 100 coin star for Course 8 can be collected here prior to v0.9.
