Sandy Skyloft is an area in B3313.
Description[]
The area consists of floating platforms, mostly upside-down pyramids, arranged in a linear manner. The player spawns inside a hut, one of several in the area. The Angry Sun and Pokeys inhabit the course.
Origins[]
The area's layout appears to be an original creation, although the hut and the concept of floating pyramids can be seen in a video by Pointnclick14. Textures are mostly taken from the vanilla Super Mario 64.
The music playing is a remix of the overworld theme from Super Mario World.
Stars[]
The area has 3 stars to collect:
- Collect 8 red coins.
- At the end of the first trail, use the Wing Cap to fly to the top of the tower. With tricky wall-jumping and ledge-grabbing from the Grindel, the star can be collected without the Wing Cap.
- Use the Wing Cap to fly to another trail in the distance, which leads to a hut with an item box holding the star.
- (A2) Near the end of the level, a star is located in a star-shaped cutout in one of the buildings.
Warps[]
Leading here[]
- Plexal Basement: In the orange section's hallways, go through the painting of the pyramids.
Leading away[]
- (v0.7) Checkerboard: Jump into the item box in the hut at the end of the linear section.
Gallery[]
Changelog[]
- Sometime after v0.7
- Removed item box leading to Checkerboard.
- v0.6.1
- Added Sandy Skyloft
Trivia[]
- Back when the area was first added, the item box warp would freeze the game. This was fixed later.
