B3313 Wiki

Polygonal Chaos is an area in B3313.

Description[]

A massive, sprawling construction of broken code, garbage assets, and malfunctioning geometry. Some areas are vaguely reminiscent of other areas of the hack such as a mirror room with a broken mirror and toppled pedestals; houses from Wet-Dry World; and a garden area with flowers and a spire in a dry fountain. A strange machine can be found in one corner.

Origins[]

This area was made by PatCangy. It appears to be inspired by his mini-hack Descend, as well as Emmy's Super Mario 64: CLASSIFIED video "Epilogue." This video contains a similar area where portions of Vanilla Upstairs overlap with the city in Wet-Dry World.

The music playing is an arrangement of "River Twygz Bed" from Super Paper Mario, created by NewSupKaizo55.

Stars[]

This area has 1 star to collect:

  • Speaking to a faceless Toad hidden within the Chaos will grant the player a star, without warping the player out of the course. To find the Toad when entering from the Vanilla Lobby, turn left and go straight forward until you go down several giant, cloud-textured steps. Turn left and go straight forward again.

Warps[]

Two-way[]

  • Vanilla Lobby: Enter the double doors in an area with regular geometry, cloud-textured walls, and a checkerboard floor with red carpet.
  • Floor 3B: Entering the area from the Vanilla Lobby, take the first right, then turn right again. Drop down to the lower level and enter the single door, then the double doors at the end of the next area.
  • Bowser's Domain: Enter the double doors near the faceless Toad.
  • Bowser's Castle: Enter the only warp pipe. To find it, enter the single door across from the faceless Toad, then the next single door across the room. Turn left, then right past the drop. Turn left before the downward ramp, then look up and slightly to the left to see the green pipe.
  • Clockway Internals: Go down the above ramp, turn left, and enter the single door.
  • 4th Floor: Enter the single door beside the dry fountain in the garden area.
  • (v1.0.1+) Castle Depths: Enter the door on the other side of the mirror room.

Leading here[]

  • Peach Upstairs: Enter the double doors at the top of the "endless" stairs to be deposited on the slope leading to the machine.

Leading away[]

  • SGI Indy: Jump into the beam of light coming from the machine similar to the one in the Peaceful Sewer Maze. Entering from the Vanilla Lobby, travel straight forward until you reach a sideways ramp with a night sky texture. Go up the ramp to find the machine.
  • (v1.0+) Shadow Forest/(v0.9) Wonderland Woods: Jump into the monochrome painting near the single door on the way to Floor 3B.

  • v1.0.1
    • Small empty painting room revamped into mirror room, and door warp to Castle Depths added.

Trivia[]

  • Although the doors from Peach Upstairs warp the player to a ramp with nothing directly behind them, the doors are actually visible high up on the wall near the ceiling. Entering these doors from the Polygonal Chaos side kills the player and ejects them from the Bob-omb Battlefield (beta) painting in the Vanilla Lobby.
  • However, if the player enters the loading zone behind the doors in the Peach Upstairs by Backwards Long Jumping on the stairs, then goes through the doors, they will appear in the loading zone behind the doors in Polygonal Chaos. Entering the left side of the door leads to (v0.9) Wonderland Woods/(v1.0+) Shadow Forest and entering the right side of the door will lead to SGI Indy.
