Midnight Meadow is an area in B3313.

Description

The player spawns in a dark room with a hole in the wall in front of them. Going through the hole reveals a downward slope, which leads to a large, grassy open area. A river originating from a waterfall bisects the ground. On the right side of the land are many trees and a few structures made of colored blocks. On the left side, the player can climb a small mountain to speak with a Bob-omb NPC on the summit.

Origins

The area's layout is an original concept. The appearance of the trees comes from an unused sprite from Super Mario 64 found in the source code. In versions prior to v0.9, the tiny yellow star sprite replacing the red coins has the same origin. Some wall textures are presumably from the Shoshinkai beta version of the vanilla game.

The music playing here is "Dire Dire Loss" by NewSupKaizo55.

The music playing here in versions prior to v0.9 is the "Toad Town" theme from the Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time OST.

• Go through the secret passageway at the bottom of the waterfall to find a hidden area.
• (v1.0.2) Climb the ledge to the right of the waterfall.
• (v0.9+) Collect 5 silver stars (replaces the touching 5 ? blocks mission).
• (v0.5.6-v0.9) Collect 8 tiny yellow stars (actually retextured red coins).
• (Christmas Build-v0.8) Touch 5 ? blocks.
