The following is a list of entities that appear in B3313.

Contorted Luigi[]

"Should've let me do the job, huh. Well, too bad, I'm stuck here."

Upon entering Inside the Walls from Restored Castle Grounds, the player will meet with the mangled body of Luigi, hurdling towards the player while the words "GET ME OUT" flash on screen. If the player is caught by Contorted Luigi, their game will crash.

Contorted Prince Bob-omb[]

why's the "omb" capitalized anyway...that's probably what he's thinking about

The mutilated and contorted body of Prince Bob-omb found in King Bob-Omb Void. Approaching the writhing prince will crash the game.

Faceless Mario[]

Faceless Mario

Faceless Mario

Like the Shadowy Figure, the Faceless Mario figures appear in numerous locations and in most cases will crash the game when they make contact with the player.

  • Mario's Maze: If the player ignores the flashing warning and steps into the hallway, they will sink into the darkness and multiple Faceless Mario's clones will appear in the distance, approaching the player. The clones will instakill the player upon contact.
  • Cryptic Hideout: By entering the door to the right of the clock in the main room, the player can find a hallway leading to a void where a Faceless Mario stands in the distance with his back to the player. Getting closer to him will make several of his clones appear and attack the player.
  • Illusory Dark Labyrinth: Approaching the Core will cast everything in darkness and spawn a Faceless Mario to chase the player.
  • Crawly Cave: The Faceless Mario encountered here will not attack the player, though coming into contact with it will still crash the game.

Faceless Mario is inspired by the web series "SM64 Classified" by Annielogue. In the series, Faceless Mario is the personification of the Personalisation A.I, and it declares that its true name is "Stanley".

Fire Bubble[]

The Face crashes the game.

The Face crashes the game.

LLL Face

If the player enters the Vanilla Basement at night, the music will change from the vanilla castle tune to the theme of Big Boo's Haunt. When the player enters the flooded painting section, there is a high chance for the face from the Fire Bubble (or Lethal Lava Land) painting to spawn in a random location and chase the player, crashing the game on contact.

If the player enters the room from where they normally go to drain the water in the original game, the Fire Bubble won't immediately follow the player as long as they don't get too close and they'll be able to enter the level.

If the player goes into the painting and exits the level via star or death, the face will come out of the painting instead. Since the player can't move right away because they're stuck in an animation, the face will always come into contact with them.

If the player exits Chroma Tundra (beta), the fireball face won't appear until the player goes closer to the Fire Bubble painting, triggering the fireball face to appear.

The Fire Bubble also appears in the Abandoned Gardens Demo in the area Fire Bubble's Challenge, where Mario has to collect 100 purple coins in a similar way to Super Mario Galaxy while fleeing the titular Bubble. If the Fire Bubble catches the player, they lose a life and respawn on the Castle Conservatory.

Mr. I[]

Mr

Mr. I

If the player collects the fake star in Mr. I's Basement, they are warped to a cage and trapped as an enormous Mr. I rises to face them. Mr. I then rams into the cage, crashing the game.

This version of Mr. I is inspired the ROM hack "Please Come to The Castle" by Felegg.

Mutant Toad[]

Mutant Toad jumpscare.

The Mutant Toad is a bizarre entity hidden away in obscure corners of the game. It is always found in completely dark rooms, initially appearing as a faceless Toad like others throughout the hack. However, if the player approaches it, the mutant will change into its true form: a monstrous entity resembling a Chuckya made of several Toad faces. It can be encountered in the following locations:

  • Eerie Sewer: Entering one of the doors and continuing through the repeating rooms will eventually lead the player to the Mutant Toad.
  • Unsettling Maze: The Mutant Toad can be found in a derelict replica of a beta lobby if the player follows its constant, mechanical whirring sound through a crack in one of the maze's walls.

The same jumpscare and subsequent crash play out in both locations. When the game crashes from the Mutant Toad, most of the stack dump that is displayed will repeat the number "3313," referencing B3313.

In the Unabandoned build, the Mutant Toad in Eerie Sewer will kill the player instead of crashing the game, however, it still crashes the game in Unsettling Maze.

The Mutant Toad and its jumpscare come from the ROM hack "BUP 64" by Rovert.

Peach's Ghost[]

Peach's Ghost.

Peach's Ghost.

Peach's ghost is a rare occurrence that is usually accompanied by her voice calling for Mario. Her behaviour is usually more passive compared to other entities, randomly appearing in certain areas and disappearing upon contact with the player.

There are several areas where she can appear:

  • Peach's Secret Corridor: She always appears here, calling for Mario. When the player approaches her, the ghost proceeds down the corridor and disappears into the room behind. If the player follows, she flies straight up, showing the player the way to escape the area via the tunnel near the ceiling before she vanishes.
  • Twisted Lobby: With some probability, the player can see Peach's ghost walking towards the double door in the passage to the former courtyard. In this place, she does not call to Mario.
  • Bowser's Domain: The ghost sometimes appears in the hallway of the prison section of the area.
  • Beta Lobby C: There is a chance the player might see the ghost in the upstairs hallway where the Bowser trapdoor area usually is. She is more likely to appear at nighttime.
  • Floor 3B: The player may see Peach's ghost standing in in the larger corridor near the sun carpet.
  • Peach's Cell: The ghost always appears within the cell, calling for Mario. When the player approaches her, she disappears and the area falls into darkness.
  • Aquarium Lobby: With some probability, Peach's ghost can be seen in the main room.
  • Basement Maze: Occasionally, the ghost can be seen in one of the many corridors.
  • Restored Castle Grounds: Peach's ghost will be waiting for Mario/Luigi inside the castle, in the center of the main lobby. After she speaks with the player, they are warped to the Monochrome Castle Grounds.

Although the player can encounter Peach's ghost as Luigi, she will always call for Mario. This is due to the fact that there is no sound clip of Peach spelling Luigi's name in the vanilla game.

The behavior and appearance of Peach's Ghost are inspired by the ROM hack "Please Come to The Castle" by Felegg.

prior to v1.0, Peach's ghost had a face.

Shadow Bowser[]

Shadow Bowser takes the form of Bowser's silhouette with red eyes in Bowser's Bridge, awaiting the player. Upon approaching, the area's textures begin to glitch and if the player comes up right to it, the silhouette will disappear, sinking the area into darkness and spawning an invisible 1-up that instakills the player shortly after.

Shadowy Figure[]

Shadowy Figure

Shadowy Figure

Shadowy Figures are common entities that take the form of the plumbers. They appear in numerous locations throughout the game and are usually hostile to the player. If not anticipated properly, they will crash the player's game, usually after attacking or ambushing them in some manner. The figures are known to appear in the following locations:

  • Scary Sewer Maze: Approaching the figure sitting on a checkered floor amongst some blocks will cause it to stand up and grow in size, then crash the game after causing Mario/Luigi to take burning damage.
  • Wonderland Woods/Shadow Forest: The Shadowy Figure will pursue the player throughout the entire level, crashing the game upon contact.
  • Dead Village: After collecting the "5 secrets" star from Bob-omb Village, the player will be warped to Dead Village. The Shadowy Figure will descend from above the lone house and chase the player through the area, crashing the game if it reaches them. This event only occurs for the "5 secrets" star, as any other stars collected in Bob-omb Village warp the player out of the area's painting on Bowser's Floor.
  • Nebula Lobby: In the upstairs area with labeled doors, door 1 is mysteriously blocked off with bricks, and approaching it will give an ominous message. If the Vanish Cap Switch has been pressed beforehand, the player can collect a Vanish Cap behind door 3 and pass through the walled doorway. The Shadowy Figure awaits them on the other side along with its signature game crash.
  • Motos Factory: One of the rooms in the factory has a single white coin in a crack in the wall. Attempting to collect the coin seals off the factory behind the player and opens a new route that leads them to a room featuring Luigi's body repeatedly being crushed by a piston, as the Shadowy Figure watches. Getting close to the piston will cause the figure to attack.
  • Nighttime Vanilla Lobby/Wet Or Dry: In these areas, the Shadowy Figure remains in place until the player approaches them. Unlike some similar locations where the Figure would normally attack the brothers, the Figure simply disappears in these places without harming them.

Shadowy Figures appear to be inspired by the MIPS Hole article of the same name.

The Core[]

Luigi looking at the Core.

Luigi looking at the Core.

The Core takes the form of a cube with a glitch texture. Moving close to the Core will glitch the area's textures while the message "DESTROY IT" flashes on the screen. Attempting to damage the Core in any way crashes the game.

The Core can be found in the following places:

  • AI Undergrounds: The Core is located in the hidden room behind the wall with the wrong texture. Approaching the Core also causes the music to stop.
  • AI Headquarters: The Core can be found deep in the maze.
  • Illusory Dark Labyrinth: The arrows in the maze shows the right way to the Core but instead of crashing the game, getting close to it will cause the maze to sink in the darkness and spawn the Faceless Mario nearby.

The Core is inspired by the web series "SM64 Classified" by Annielogue.
