Grassy Highlands is an area in B3313.

Description

As its name implies, the area consists of a series of green plateaus of varying heights along with two towers, one of which has a spike on top. The area is walled in and filled with an orange haze. There are several enemies strolling around, such as Goombas, Bob-ombs, Chuckyas, and Fly Guys. A Chain Chomp is tethered directly to the ground and so cannot be released.

Origins

The area's layout seems to be an original creation. Textures are mainly from the vanilla Super Mario 64 and its beta versions. The appearance of the trees and animated flowers comes from unused sprites found in the vanilla game's source code.

The music playing is "Chain Chomp Cliffs," a remix of the vanilla "Bob-omb Battlefield" track created by NewSupKaizo55.

Stars

This area has 4 stars to collect:

• Collecting all 8 red coins rewards the player with a star.
• There is a star on top of the highest structure, the tower with the spike in the middle of the area.
• There is a star on a ledge on the side of a cliff, only accessible by jumping into a cannon.
• (v1.0 or later) There is a green star on top of the other tower, which is climbable by wall-jumping.
• (Unabandoned A1) Collect 5 Silver Stars.

In v0.7, the 100-coin star for Course 13 could be collected here.
