Goomba Hills is an area in B3313.

Description

The player spawns in a green field with flowers, trees, some smaller hills and platforms. There's a mountain up ahead, separated from the field via a river that runs through the area. Above the mountaintop, there are several islands in the sky. The whole area is inhabited by enemies such as Goombas, Bob-ombs and Chuckyas.

Origins

The area's layout seems to be an original creation. Textures are mainly from the vanilla Super Mario 64 and its beta versions. The appearance of the trees and animated flowers comes from unused sprites found in the vanilla game's source code.

The music playing is "Chain Chomp Cliffs," a remix of the vanilla "Bob-omb Battlefield" track created by NewSupKaizo55.

Stars

This area has 4 stars to collect, one of which will depend on the version of the hack:

• (v0.7) Touching 5 specific flower patches, which act like 5 secrets, rewards the player with a star.
• (v0.9/v1.0) Flying through 5 rings in the sky rewards the player with a star.
• Collecting all 8 red coins rewards the player with a star.
• There's a star at the top of the mountain.
• One of the item boxes, found on the highest island in the sky, contains a star.
• (Unabandoned A2) Collect 5 silver stars.

Trivia

• The "5 Secrets" star in Goomba Hills shares the same star ID as the second MIPS star in Crimson Hallway. Therefore, collecting the star from one of them is the same as collecting the star from the other and thus you will not get a duplicate star.
