- Not to be confused with the area which this one replaced, Donjon Courtyard.
Forest Maze is an area in B3313.
Description[]
The area consists of an open section with several trees and a hexagonal hole. One wall has 3 doors leading to hallways separated into small cubic rooms. The left hallway leads to a proper exit from the maze, and the right hallway eventually warps the player back to the beginning of the maze.
In the middle hallway, the player will meet a mirrored copy of their character in one of the rooms. Attempting to exit through the door on the other side of the room will cause the player to reenter the same room. To escape, they must turn around and backtrack to the open section of the maze.
Origins[]
The area's layout is an original creation. Textures are mainly from the vanilla Super Mario 64 and its beta versions. The appearance of the trees comes from unused sprites found in the vanilla game's source code.
The music playing is a rendition of the "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms" theme from Super Mario RPG.
Stars[]
This area has 1 star to collect:
- A breakable box in the open section contains a green star which only appears when the player has a star count of at least 120.
Warps[]
Leading here[]
- Plexal Upstairs: On the top floor, enter the door in an opening with the number 3 on it and a hole before it. Go down the hole, then enter the warp hole in front of the Boo painting.
Two-way[]
- Funhouse: Enter the double door in the open section of the maze.
- Bowser's Castle: Enter the door at the end of the left hallway.
Routes[]
Note that this section lists only the shortest routes to the area.

Trivia[]
- This is one of the most changed areas since creation, with a completely different layout that is now more linear.
- In one of the rooms of the left hallway, a Toad tells Mario/Luigi to "walk quietly in the hallway," making their voices disappear in the process. This is a reference to a mysterious sign in the vanilla Super Mario 64, an element on the infamous Super Mario 64 Iceberg.
