Dream Castle

Dream Castle is an area in B3313.

Description[]

This is a small area with walls lined with dark metal, and filled with water and Goombas. The water level is set low enough that the Goombas create loud splashing sounds as the water rises and lowers.

Under the stairway, there is a doorway with the doors blown off and lying flat on the floor. A side room contains a Bowser painting and a blank, solid black painting, neither of which can be entered. In the middle of the room is a well with a grate containing a Red Star.

Another area is a flooded room with two podiums, each changing the water level to their position when Mario/Luigi interacts with them. This room also has an Ultimate Box containing both a Metal Cap and a Vanish Cap.

Origins[]

This area is based on a similar area in the ROM hack Dream64, which can be reached by dying in one of the castle's courses.

The music here is a rendition of the castle theme played with instruments from Big Boo's Haunt.

There is one star to collect in this area:

In the podium room, turn right and swim down to that podium to lower the water level, then access the red star room via the nearby door. Alternatively, collect the Metal Cap and Vanish Cap to pass through the grate in the well in the painting room.
