B3313 Wiki

Dark Lobby is an area in B3313.

Description[]

While similar in structure to the Vanilla Lobby, the walls are made of dark bricks, and most of the doors are inaccessible. The double door at the top, instead of leading upstairs, is connected to a Boo-haunted hallway with another double door at the end.

Origin[]

The area's layout is similar to a part of Super Mario 64's main lobby from the E3 1996 beta. The hallway accessed via the double door is reminiscent of swift-kick's Blender edit labeled as a section of "the 4th floor," featured in some versions of the infamous Super Mario 64 Iceberg.

In v1.0.2, the music playing is "Big Boo's Haunt" from Super Mario 64.

In v0.2, the music playing was an arrangement of "File Select" from Super Mario 64.

Trivia[]

  • From v0.1 to v0.4.8, no castle doors were locked. They mostly led to areas that have since been repurposed or removed from the hack entirely.
  • As only the surface of the walls is modeled, it is easy to get out-of-bounds in the area, such as by hanging on the "inside" of a door.
