Cave City is an area in B3313.
Description[]
The player spawns in a maze made out of pillars, full of enemies such as Goombas, Snifits and Bob-ombs. Navigating out of it leads to the main area, which has two "houses" (actually just blocks of stone), along with some pillars, lamps and streetlights. From there, a gate at the top leads to a platforming section, with a black, gooey substance below which acts like quicksand, and a hole leads to another maze-like area.
Origins[]
The area's layout appears to be an original creation. Textures are mainly from the vanilla Super Mario 64 and its beta versions.
The music is a remix of the "Cave Dungeon" theme from the same game's OST.
Stars[]
This area has 3 stars to collect:
- There's a star at the end of the platforming section reached via the main room.
- (v0.9+) Collecting all 5 tiny stars in the main area rewards the player with a star. (they are retextured to be floating silver stars in v1.0)
- (v0.9+) Collecting all 5 silver stars at the bottom of the maze rewards the player with a star.
- (v0.7) Collecting all 8 tiny stars scattered around the course rewards the player with a star.
Warps[]
Leading here[]
- (v0.5.6+) Plexal Hallway: In the exterior section, go through the door with the number 2 on it, and jump into the hole.
- (v0.7) Plexal Basement: In the orange section's main room, go through the walled double door, and then jump into the hole.
