B3313 Wiki

Bowser's Castle is an area in B3313.

Description[]

The area is a series of rooms with some walls similar to that of Peach's Castle, but with a red sky instead of blue, and also some brown wooded walls. There are several carpets, including round ones like the one found in the Vanilla Lobby, and long red ones. The area is covered in an orange fog and is full of Goombas and Boos.

The main room, the largest of all, has a key door in the front and two side rooms. The right side room, which also has a straight hallway in front of it, is grassy and has a Peach painting. The left side room, blocked by two singular doors, has various paintings, a Toad, and, to the right, a door that leads to a star door. This star door can only be opened with at least 33 stars, and leads to a separate room, where another lone Toad resides, observing a Bowser painting.

The key door in the main room leads to a so-called front room, with a long painting and a singular door leading to a small hallway.

Origins[]

The area's layout seems to mostly be an original concept, with textures from both the vanilla Super Mario 64 and its beta version. The front room is similar to an area usually portrayed in "tapes" as a section of the 4th floor, an item on the infamous Super Mario 64 Iceberg.

The music playing is the "Inside Castle" theme from the same game's OST, but in a minor scale. This variation was made by NicoSwitch.

Before v0.7, the music was "Castle & Fortress" from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

Stars[]

This area has one star to collect:

  • During nighttime hours, speak to the Toad by going through the two doors numbered "1" and turning left at the painting. If spoken to during daytime hours, the Toad will tell the player to return at night.

Warps[]

Two-way[]

  • Forest Maze: In the hallway in front of the right side room, go through the door on the right. Or, enter the door above the star door by wall-jumping up to the top of the room.
  • Purple Upstairs: In the main room, go through the back key door (on the upper level).
  • Royal Lobby: In the main room, go through the door to the left facing the back key door.
  • Floor 2B: In the main room, go through the door to the right facing the back key door.
  • Polygonal Chaos: In the main room, go through the two doors numbered "1", turn right at the painting, then turn left and enter the pipe. In v0.9, although this is a two-way warp pipe, returning through it causes Mario/Luigi to hit the low ceiling above it and be knocked back into Polygonal Chaos. This has been corrected in v1.0.
  • Nebula Lobby/(v0.7) Underground Passageway/(v0.6.9) Plexal Upstairs: Enter the key door on the lower level of the main room, and follow the doors to the left.

Leading away[]

  • (v0.7) Cold, Cold Crevasse: On the left side room, go through the pipe in front of the painting with a snowy mountain on it.
  • (v0.7) Lethal Cavern: On the left side room, go through the hole in front of the painting with a Snifit on it.
  • (v0.8+) Personalization Chamber: Look up at the ceiling from the sun carpet in the front room. (requires 10 stars)
  • (v0.4.7-v0.6.8) Haunted Castle Grounds: Enter the pipe behind the star door.
