Blazing Bully Base is an area in B3313.

Description

The area heavily resembles Lethal Lava Land. However, it is more compact, with many platforms being directly connected to each other. There's also a tall structure in the right side. A large platform serves as the home for the Big Bully, while the whole area is generally inhabited by Bullies. Stepping on a grilled platform in the left side transforms the area into a dark blue counterpart via texture warping. This is a more linear, climbable area, with larger platforms, but less enemies and coins. Both versions of the area have a large volcano as a central element, which can be entered via a tunnel at the top.

Origins

As already mentioned, the area is heavily inspired by Lethal Lava Land from the vanilla Super Mario 64, both in terms of layout and textures used. Additionally, some textures are taken from the B-Roll beta version of the game.

The music is the "Lethal Lava Land" track from the same game.

Stars

This area has 4 stars to collect:

• Collecting all the 8 red coins scattered throughout the stage rewards the player with a star.
• Defeating the Big Bully rewards the player with a star.
• There's a star at the top of the structure in the red section of the area.
• Similarly. there's a star at the top of the blue section.

In older versions with 100 coin stars, the 100 coin star for Course 7 can be collected here.

• Beta Lobby B: Enter the second door from the right and then the painting.
• Vanilla Basement: Jump into the Lethal Lava Land painting.

Leading away

• Bowser Inside The Volcano: Jump into the tunnel above the volcano (either on the blue side, or the red side).

Trivia

• The blue section of Blazing Bully Base contains more invisible walls than the red section.
• There were two images sent on 01/09/2021 within The Cult by Chris, they are Blazing Bully Base's earliest iteration.
